Aston Hotels & Resorts Rebranded as ResortQuest Hawaii
Monday August 8, 2005
After a 57-year history as one of Hawaii's largest accommodation provider, Aston Hotels & Resorts® Hawaii is no more. The Aston name has been retired and rebranded as ResortQuest Hawaii. This is the culmination of a process that began in 1998 when Aston and 13 other hospitality companies across the United States merged to form ResortQuest. As of August 1, all of the company's properties are being marketed under one brand name. By number of properties alone, ResortQuest is Hawaii’s largest operator of suites, resort condominiums and hotels with 28 properties on the islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Hawaii.
Despite the change in name, no major changes are expected in the company's Hawaii properties which employ approximately 1,5000 island residents. The company's major promotions and visitor amenities will be retained often with new names. ResortQuest Hawaii’s 24-hour toll-free phone number for the United States and Canada has changed to (866) 77-HAWAII or (866) 774-2924. Their website can now be found at www.resortquesthawaii.com.
ResortQuest Hawaii will celebrate its rebranding with two months of culture and arts events on the islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and Hawaii. ResortQuest Hawaii guests and local residents are cordially invited to participate in these events.
"We are delighted to be sponsoring these events to celebrate this new era in our company’s history and to reaffirm our commitment to our community by perpetuating Hawaii’s culture and arts for our visitors and Kama`aina," said Kelvin Bloom, president of ResortQuest Hawaii. The celebratory events include:
