United Airlines Makes the Skies Even More Unfriendly

Monday December 1, 2008
Air travel has become a really miserable experience. Unless you're lucky enough to fly first class, you're likely to feel more like a passenger in steerage on the Titanic than anything close to that "valuable customer" all those emails from your airline of choice send you constantly.

From constant changes in your itinerary, baggage fees, crazy boarding proceedures and no space in the overheads to down right rude airline employees, it's likely that the flight portions of your vacation will be the parts you most want to forget.

That's a real shame since bad flight experiences to your vacation destination put you in a lousy mood and bad flight experiences on the way home much too quickly bring you back to the real world.

Long gone are the days when people actually looked forward to air travel. It's not just those big irritants that I mentioned. The airlines are screwing up the little things too. The planes are dirty, the air is foul, the magazines are ripped and the windows are filthy.

On our recent trip to the Big Island and Kauai my wife and I flew on six separate flights on United Airlines It was a mixed bag of experiences which ranged from bad to terrible. Find out more in our feature, United Airlines Makes the Skies Even More Unfriendly.
