Hawaii has done it again. For the past 21 years beaches in Hawaii have regularly appeared in the annual Best Beaches of America list released over Memorial Day weekend by "Dr. Beach" aka Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman of Florida International University. In fact in 12 of those 21 years, a beach in Hawaii has been chosen the number one beach in America, and hence retired from competition.
The 2011 top 10 list of Best Beaches in America has been released and while a beach in Hawaii did not top this year's list, two beaches in Hawaii were included.
