Fourth of July Festivities in Hawaii

If you're planning to be in Hawaii for the Fourth of July, there are some great opportunities for special activities designed especially for the holiday.

Of course, the biggest of them all is the world famous fireworks celebration at Ala Moana Beach Park and presented by Ala Moana Center.

Ala Moana Center's 4th of July Spectacular
For the 21st consecutive year, Ala Moana Center will present locals and visitors with one of the largest and most spectacular fireworks shows in the country. There will be live entertainment starting at noon on July 4 with a fireworks finale at 8:30 p.m. For the best viewing, shoppers are invited to sit on the parking deck by Sears beginning at 3:00 p.m. In addition to the fireworks and entertainment, Ala Moana Center will offer a 20% Savings Pass good throughout the holiday weekend and accepted at more than 55 stores throughout the center.

Again this year, Sheila Beal of Go Visit Hawaii has put together extensive lists of July 4th fireworks and events on each of the main Hawaiian islands:

Oahu July 4th Fireworks - fireworks and events for Waikiki and Honolulu
Maui July 4th Fireworks - fireworks and events for Maui
Big Island (Hawaii) July 4th Fireworks - fireworks and events for The Big Island of Hawaii
Kauai July 4th Fireworks - fireworks and events for Kauai

Please note that you have not listed the Joint Base Pearl Harbor MWR Fireworks Celebrations (it used to be 2 bases – Naval Air Station Pearl Harbor and Hickam Air Force Base – now Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam). We have 1 great event with 2 locations, and at both have a free concert with the Plain White T’s. The event is free and open only to military affiliated and their sponsored guests. The shows are at Hickam Harbor with feature concert at 430pm and fireworks at 830pm, and at Ward Field feature concert at 8pm and fireworks at 9pm. I appreciate you adding the info to your website. Here’s ours for more info – http://www.greatlifehawaii.com or if you call or email monday, I can send you the electronic flyer.

I don’t see why you can’t bring camera’s and such, I did last year and I saw plenty of them there. They don’t search you, you just have to be able to get on base.

(6) Trisha says:

It does, however, say on the fliers that your possessions are subject to search. I don’t think it is to take your cameras away from you, but for safety.

No Waikiki fireworks on the 4th? Doesn’t Hilton Hawaiian Village have fireworks on the 4th? This looks like they don’t. I am talking Waikiki here, not Ala Moana!
