Visiting the Dole Plantation

I have to admit that when I first learned that the Dole Plantation in Central Oahu was Hawaii's second most popular visitor attraction, I was very surprised. Yet, last year almost 1.3 million people stopped by most on the way to or from Oahu's North Shore and many, I'm sure merely to have a snack of some of the famous DoleWhip® dessert or pick up a souvenir in their Country Store.

There are, however, lots of other things to do at the Dole Plantation. You can take their Plantation Garden Tour or take a ride on their Pineapple Express and learn about the history of pineapple in Hawaii and see some of the wide variety of diversified agriculture that is currently being grown on the island of Oahu.

The biggest attraction, however, is their Pineapple Garden Maze, the largest maze in the world.

You can find out all of the details of these and other things to do in our feature on the Dole Plantation on Oahu.
