There is still time to plan your visit to Oahu to coincide with one of the number of events taking place during the 2012 Aloha Festivals.
The Aloha Festivals are one of Hawaii's oldest and most highly regarded cultural celebrations. Each year the Festivals board selects a unique theme to celebrate and honor some aspect of Hawaiian culture.
This year's theme is Ho`onui `Ike which means "to increase knowledge, enrich." This year's Festivals also honors the legacy of Kamehameha Schools and its founder Ke Ali`i Bernice Pauahi Bishop.
Events will take place from September 6-22 at various locations throughout Oahu and will be highlighted by the Annual Waikiki Ho'olaule'a, Hawaii's largest block party on Saturday, September 15, and the world famous Annual Aloha Festivals Floral Parade on Saturday, September 22.
