2013 Kona Coffee Cultural Festival Poster
If you're planning a trip to Hawaii, the Big Island, in November, you'll want to be sure to take in a number of the more than 40 events in the 2013 Kona Coffee Cultural Festival. This is the 43rd edition of this award-winning festival which is recognized as the oldest and most successful food festival in Hawaii and is recognized and supported as a "Major Festival" by the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) as the Festival showcases Hawaii's unique culture and diversity.
For those who have attended the Festival in prior years, this year's Festival will include a number of new events as well as some of the favorite events that you have come to enjoy over the years including contests, tastings, a scholarship pageant, farm tours, coffee workshops, art exhibits, an outdoor concert and much more.
My wife and I attended a full week of the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival in 2008 and had one of our best weeks ever in Hawaii. Even if, like us, you're not a coffee drinker, there are plenty of activities that are just plain fun. If you are a coffee drinker and especially if you're a fan of Kona Coffee, this festival is your Nirvana.
