Aerial view of the south shoreline of Kilauea Volcano from Pu`u `O`o (cone on skyline) to the Kamoamoa entry (steam plume along shoreline), a distance of about 11 km. The lava pours into the ocean here after traveling from the episode 51 and 53 vents on the southwest flank of Pu`u `O`o (fuming area on left side of cone) through a lava tube. A few kilometers west of this entry, lava is also spilling into the ocean at Lae`apuki. Just above the pali, the tube system splits into two parts, delivering lava to the two entries.
