In addition, the spa facility will include a fitness center with free weights, aerobic/dance floor and outdoor showers.
CULTURAL ASPECTS AND ACTIVITIES
The vision for the hotel is to bring back the Hawaii of old and showcase the historical significance of the Keauhou area. To accomplish this, the hotel will work closely with the community to gain input and guidance regarding the cultural and botanical aspects of the area. The hotel will consult with local cultural experts, adopt local hula halaus and canoe clubs, and possibly even involve Big Island school children in the naming of the suites, restaurants and meeting facilities of the hotel. There will be a focus on the gardens at the center of the property as a cultural oasis, and moolelo (storytelling) will be one of the featured activities in the gardens.
