Lava pouring into the sea built this fan-shaped delta and buried an archeological site and popular campground at Kamoamoa in Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park. The delta extends 300 m beyond the former shoreline. The Chain of Craters Road is visible on both sides of the narrow flow field.
