The only, and I mean only, disadvantage of a sunset sail in Hawaii is that by the time you're done and have dinner, you get back to your home base too late to do any serious work! Luckily, unless you write on the Net, that should not be a problem for most of you.
Eileen and I took a sunset sail on the Scotch Mist II from Lahaina. Along with 10 other passengers and a crew of two, we had a lovely two hour sail in the waters off of Lahaina.
Our skipper for our trip was Mike Seitman, who has lived in Hawaii since the early 1980's. Mike is an well informed and friendly host who really enjoys his job sailing the waters of Hawaii.
We were also very lucky to share this sail with Caroline Howard and Jeff Sorensen. Both Caroline and Jeff are also involved in the tourism industry here in Hawaii. Caroline works as a photographer for several other cruises out of Lahaina. Jeff is the pilot of the Atlantis Submarine that shows folks the wonders of the deep off of the coast of Lahaina.
We had great conversation over champagne and chocolates as we watched the sunset. Here are some of our photo memories of this evening.

With much sadness, we're heading home tomorrow morning. It's a long trip back to Pennsylvania from Maui. We leave our condo in Honokowai at around 7:30 a.m. and we don't arrive in Philadelphia until almost 6:00 a.m. local time Saturday morning.
Join us back here on Sunday for a retrospective of our entire trip to Hawaii.
Until then, Aloha.
