  • Our Day with Kathy exploring the Leeward Coast of O`ahu. Most tourists never make it to the Leeward Coast and maybe that's ok for those of us that do.

  • The New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel was suggested to us by Leilani, our own Aunty D., who could not have given us better advise. Thanks to an upgrade when we arrived we got one of those corner rooms overlooking the ocean on one side and Waikiki on the other. The entire experience at the New Otani was wonderful.

  • Having the chance to view the Na Hoku Hanohano, Hawaiian Music Awards live rather than weeks later on tape was a real treat. Congratulations to Keali'i Reichel, Fred Krauss and Jim Linkner of Punahele Productions.

  • Learning that even at 45 years old we could both make it to the top of Diamond Head was satisfying, although it was a lot easier just 5 years ago.

  • We're glad we took almost a full day to experience the rugged North Shore of West Maui. This is a road not traveled by many but one well worth the adventure.

  • The Friday night concert in Lahaina with Robi Kahakalau, Eddie Kamae and The Sons of Hawaii, and Amy Hanaiali'i Gilliom and Willie K. was a real keeper memory. Four hours of great Hawaiian music under the stars surrounded by mostly local folks - wow.

  • Having a chance to see canoes and outriggers created by master carvers from around all of Polynesia during the Celebration of Canoes in Lahaina was both educational and fascinating.

  • We had a wonderful time snorkeling off near Honokowai Beach Park. There is and outer and inner reef, so the water in between is perfect for the beginner.

  • The trip to Molokai. Our flight on Paragon Air was amazing and our day on the island with Timmy was one we'll long remember.

  • Our barefoot sale on the Scotch Mist II was very relaxing and the perfect way to spend our last evening in Hawaii.
