PLEASANT HAWAIIAN AND NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINES ANNOUNCE MONEY-SAVING CREDITS ON SPRING SAILINGS

Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays and Norwegian Cruise Lines, which have already formed an exclusive partnership, announced today money-saving credits for Pleasant bookings on the Norwegian Star on select dates  in April and May, 2002.

Pleasant’s guests who choose sail dates of April 7, 14, 21, 28, and May 5 & 12, and stay in select cabins that range from Inside Stateroom to Owners Suite, will receive a $75 “Fun Credit” per person, or $150 for two persons, per cabin. The on-board credit applies to bars, lounges, spa and photos, but is not valid for gratuities.

Guests who opt for the top three cabin categories -- Mini Suite, Penthouse and Owners Suite will also receive special reduced rates.

Notes Bob Froio, Pleasant’s vice president of product development, “This is a great opportunity for our clients to experience an unforgettable cruise in Hawaiian and mid-Pacific waters, on the incomparable Norwegian Star. The money-saving perks are terrific.” He added, “Pleasant can also arrange a best of both worlds holiday for our clients, combining two or three days on land, at a perfect hotel and island for their budget, with a seven-day cruise aboard the Norwegian Star.”

The Norwegian Star, Norwegian Cruise Lines’ newest and largest vessel, and the only one built exclusively for cruising in Hawaiian waters, offers more cabins with private balconies and more dining options than any other fleet in the Hawaiian market. Its “Freestyle Cruising” concept is unique, meaning you can dine whenever you want -- there’s no set seating time for meals -- dine wherever you want, and dine with anyone you wish.

Amenities aboard the Norwegian Star include 10 restaurants, 14 bars and lounges, swimming pool, 4 hot tubs, Baroque-style theatre, basketball and volleyball court, a deluxe, full-treatment Mandara spa and salon, 24-hour fitness center, conference facilities, Internet cafe, and a Kid’s Crew program that offers the most extensive children’s facilities and activities in Hawaiian waters.

Typical accommodations include:  Inside Stateroom, with sitting area and two lower beds that convert to a double, T.V. and refrigerator. Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony, with two lower beds, sitting area with sofa bed, and glass door that opens to balcony. And Penthouse, with living room, private balcony, dining room, separate bedroom with luxury bath & jacuzzi.  Butler & concierge service available.

Seven-day cruise holidays are available out of Honolulu. Rates start at $1,121 per person, double occupancy.  Travel agents are urged to book asap, as April sailing dates are almost here, and space will be at a premium.
