Tragedy
at Sea
The nuclear submarine USS Greenville has struck and sunk the Ehime Maru, a
Japanese fishing training vessel
about ten miles off of Diamond Head on Friday, February 9, 2001. Nine members of
the 35 member Japanese crew including four students and two teachers are listed
as missing and presumed dead.
