The flashbacks in Season 2, Episode 17 - Lockdown continue. Locke secures the money from the safety deposit box and returns home only to find that two men who attended the funeral were there with Helen. It is clear that these are the two men whom his father had conned. They confront Locke with the possibility that his father may still be alive. They are very curious what Locke is carrying in the paper bag that he carries into the house.
Helen assures the men that as far as they know Locke's father is dead. She mentions that Locke had been wronged by his father and that she and Locke attended his funeral to put the past behind them and move on with their lives.
The men challenge Locke to show them the bag which he does. It is just work papers. The men leave.
In the next flasback scene we see Locke arriving at the motel. He takes the money to his father's room. His father inquires about Helen and Locke tells him that he plans on proposing to her that evening. Anthony offers Locke his share of the money, but Locke tells him that he didn't do this for the money.

Suddenly there is a knock at the door. It is Helen. Learning that the man in front of her is Locke's father, she slaps him and asks "How could you? How could you do this to him? We were moving past this!"
She looks at Locke, but he does not know what to say. Helen leaves the room. Locke follows her begging her to stop but she says he lied to her. She says that he needs his father's love more than hers and he says that he wants her. He says he was going to tell her everything. He tells her he loves her and he gets down on his knee and proposes.
She stares at him a moment then shakes her head and gets in her car. He looks over at his father who gets in his cab and drives away.
The hotel where Locke brings the money to his father was filmed at the Hale Hana Apartments at the corner of Leahi Ave. and Hollinger St. in Honolulu, very close to the Honolulu Zoo.
