Two Hawaii residents have made the finals in thw 2004 edition of Fox's hit TV servies American Idol. We'll offer updated information on each contestant as the show progresses.

It's down to the final three on Fox's The American Idol. All three contestants performed three songs on last night's show. One song was picked by the performer. One song was picked by the judges and one song picked by guest judge and music mogul, Clive Davis. founder of Arista records.

Hawaii's Jasmine Trias Makes Final Three on The American Idol
Jasmine Trias, Hawaii's only remaining contestant on Fox TV's The American Idol has, to the surprise of all, made it to the final three contestants. Tuesday, May 11, 2004 was "Disco Night" on American Idol where each of the remaining four contestants were given the opportunity to sing two disco songs.

One Hawaiian Left on American Idol
Since there can only be one winner on Fox's The American Idol it was just a matter of time before one of Hawaii's two contestants was voted off the show. Over the past few weeks it has become clear that the weakest of Hawaii's two contestants was Maui's Camile Velasco, the 18-year-old waitress at her parents' IHOP at the Maui Mall.

Finals Week 1 - Camile and Jasmine Advance with Soul
Hawaii's Jasmine Trias and Camile Velasco have both advanced to the next round of Fox's American Idol finals. The musical theme for the March 16 show was Soul.

Oahu Resident Jasmine Trias Reaches American Idol Final 12
Jasmine Trias, the 17-year-old Maryknoll High School senior, from Mililani, Oahu, was the second Hawaii resident to make the final 12 in Fox TV's popular American Idol. Performing the Whitney Houston ballad Run To You, Trias secured enough viewer votes - many from Hawaii, to secure the second spot in this round.

Maui Resident Camile Velasco Reaches American Idol Final 12
Camile Velasco, the 18-year-old waitress at her parents' IHOP at the Maui Mall, was the first of potentially three Hawaii residents to make the finals in Fox TV's popular American Idol. Performing Bryan McKnight's song One Last Cry Velasco secured 27.8 percent of the viewer votes - many from Hawaii, to secure the top spot in this round.
