The two-level Point Reef Bures at the Jean-Michael Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort are both spacious and secluded.

Attracting a mix of honeymooners, families and scuba aficionados, the Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort is set on a 17-acre coconut plantation on Fiji's second largest island, Vanua Levu. The 24 bures and one villa are built of local wood and feature king-sized beds, rattan furnishings, louvered windows and overhead fans (there's no air conditioning due to the resort's eco initiatives), plus a private deck. They are available in Gardenview and Oceanfront categories, measuring 440 square feet, as well as Oceanfront Suite Bures, measuring 540 square feet, and Point Reef Bures, two-level bures measuring 750 square feet. The top accommodations are the Villa, and the Honeymoon Point Reef Bure, which is secluded and has a spa tub for two.
