History:
The resort was opened on January 23, 1963 and reopened in 1997 following a major reconstruction.
Guest Rooms:
The Sheraton Maui Resort has 510 rooms located in six distinct towers, none higher than six stories, consisting of 268 kings and 242 doubles. There is one Presidential Suite, 13 Luxury Suites, 12 Junior Suites, and 20 Ohana Family Suites.
Features in all rooms include: air conditioning, private lanai, remote controlled color television with cable, on-command movies, video games, high speed internet access, dataports, voice mail, refrigerator, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, coffee maker with coffee and tea, bathroom essentials, 100% cotton bath towels, height adjustable shower head, make-up mirror, hair dryer, yukata robes, daily room attendant service, and express check-out.
Suites also include: spacious bathroom with separate shower, double vanity and additional telephone, specialty bathroom essentials, microwave oven.
Dining and Entertainment:
Keka'a Terrace offers both indoor and outdoor seating all day long where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Daily breakfast buffet features an array of fresh fruits, tossed greens, warm pastries, breakfast meats, eggs Benedict, and omelets made-to-order. Deli sandwiches, wraps, soups and unique salads offered for lunch. Fresh island fish, sumptuous steaks and salad bar are just a few of the items on the dinner menu.
Teppan-Yaki Dan offers contemporary Japanese cuisine which is grilled to perfection right before you. Prepared by talented knife-welding chefs, Teppan-yaki Dan features steaks, seafood and exquisite presentation. Four seatings are offered Tuesday through Saturday with up to ten people per table.
Dinner Under the Stars allows guests to choose their own dining venue from the resort's 23 oceanfront acres and from three handpicked menus. Guests can also allow the resort's chefs to create a menu just for them. An exclusive butler waits on your every need throughout the evening.
The Lagoon Bar is perfect for a mid-afternoon cocktail or an evening under the stars. The Lagoon Bar offers tropical treats and hot barbecue lunches daily, nightly Hawaiian entertainment and hula dancing with a perfect view of the Sheraton Mauis traditional Torch Lighting and Cliff Diving Ceremony at sunset.
The Sundowner Bar offers cocktails, snacks and new on the menu, Island Wraps featuring traditional Caesar and BLTs, as well as wraps with a local twist like the Barbecue Pork (Kalua Pork) wrap.
Guests can relax and unwind at the Reefs Edge Lounge with a light snack or a nightcap.
Located on the resort's beachfront ocean lawn, the Ka'anapali Sunset Luau featuring a Hawaiian feast, arts and crafts and the spectacular Tihati Polynesian Revue.
A re-creation of history is portrayed each evening with a Traditional Cliff Dive Ceremony as torches light the Ka'anapali sky and a cliff diver leaps into the ocean from historic Black Rock (Pu'u Keka'a). This ceremony commences at sunset with a torch lighting procession, ancient Hawaiian chant and a narration of the story of King Kahekili.

The Sheraton Maui Resort offers the highest standards of quality in its services and amenities beginning with a fresh flower lei greeting upon arrival presented by one of the resorts multilingual staff. On site facilities include a lobby concierge, resort wear, jewelry and accessories shops, a sundry shop, a full service business center, a Salon day spa, the Kale Ola Fitness Center, self laundry, dry cleaning, and valet service.
Additional shopping is located within walking distance at Whaler's Village. The resort is just a ten-minute drive from Lahaina Town. Complimentary shuttle service is offered within the Ka'anapali Beach Resort.
ADA accessible rooms are available. A nightly turndown service is available upon request.
A poolside concierge and professional beach and pool staff service your needs at the resort's 142-yard lagoon-style pool with lava-enhanced whirlpool. Ocean activities at world famous Black Rock include snorkeling, scuba, surfing, sunset/whale watching cruises, para-sailing, and fishing.
Keiki (childrens) Kamp childrens day and night programs are available as are complimentary summer Hawaiian craft lessons and complimentary Keiki hula lessons.
Croquet, three night-lit tennis courts and pro shop, and the Kaanapali Golf Courses are also available for guests.
