Whether we're old or young, male or female, black or white, conservative or liberal, one thing that we all have in common is that we love the movies. The movies are the most universal form of entertainment that transcends all lines that otherwise separate us.

Our fascination with the movies often doesn't end when the final credits roll by. We have long had enjoyed seeing where and how our favorite films were made. How many of us have driven down into Monument Valley to see where so many westerns were made or ventured to the top of the Empire State Building where King Kong towered over New York or where Jonah waited for Annie in Sleepless in Seattle?

So, when Bob Jasper first approached Jerri Wassink with his idea to take visitors around Kauaʻi and show them where famous films were made, the question was not so much would people like the idea, but rather would they take time out of their Hawaii vacation and pay to do it.

Needless to say, the answer was a resounding yes. What started with one bus has grown to a fleet of buses and 4x4 off-road vans, all equipped with digital video and surround sound. Their company, Hawaii Movie Tours, has been honored numerous times as one of the 50 fastest growing business's in Hawaii. Their concept has spread to such cities as Monterey, Boston and San Francisco.
