Guest Rooms:

The Sheraton Kauai Resort’s 394 rooms, including the 13 suites, are housed in four-story buildings with no building taller than a mature coconut tree. Grouped together in three different locations in the 20-acre resort, the room categories are identified according to the primary view, in the following buildings: Garden Wing, Ocean Wing and Beach Wing.

The new room design for the resort is the first installation of "Tropical," one of Sheraton’s five unique lifestyle guestroom packages. The room interior was designed to give guests a warm and comforting environment that connects them to their vacation destination.

All king bedded rooms in the Ocean and Beach wings feature four poster beds. King bedded rooms in the Garden Wing and all double bedded rooms have quarter canopies. The dark wood and simple clean lines of the furniture create a nice contrast to the warm and comforting yellow and cream hues of the walls, plush gold carpets and curtains.

Blue accents in the room’s décor highlight the ocean. A 32-inch LCD flat screen TV sits on a credenza, which conceals a refrigerator and coffee/tea service. Garden Wing rooms feature more modest updates to the rooms and bathrooms while still keeping the impact of the renovated look.

Dining and Entertainment:

Shells Steak and Seafood Restaurant has a sweeping panoramic view of Poipu Beach. They offer breakfast including am expansive buffet as well as dinner with an extensive a la carte menu specializing in Prime Cut beef, fresh island fish and seafood.

Naniwa Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar offers an intimate dining experience with an Asian ambience. They specialize in favorite and exotic sushi made from fresh island seafood or you can savor the flavors of such traditional Japanese cuisine as tempura, sashimi, miso soup and Donburi.

Oasis Bar and Grill is located adjacent to the oceanfront pool. They offer a menu of light snacks, fresh salads and delicious grilled favorites. The casual, open-air terrace is popular with beach-goers and the Bar offers a host of refreshing drinks like fresh fruit smoothies, exotic tropical mixtures and a full-service cocktail menu.

The Point, Cocktails, Etcetera is the place to lounge and enjoy the daily menu of appetizer specials, a lite lunch or dinner, or a cool island cocktail. It is a favorite place to enjoy the sunset or relax after dinner with friends.

Held just footsteps from the sands of Poipu Beach, the Sheraton Kauai's Surf to Sunset Luau is Kauai's only oceanfront luau. The luau is held twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays at 5:30 p.m. Guests may choose the $75 per person package for an evening of buffet dining and fine entertainment or the Golden Circle package at $87 per person which offers premium seating, tableside service with salads, appetizers and beverages served "family style" and a fresh plumeria lei.

Prior to dinner guests can stroll among local artisans who teach lei making, lauhala weaving, wood carving and poi pounding.

The luau features both traditional Hawaiian delicacies (kalua pig, lomi salmon, pipikaula, poke and poi) as well as dishes inspired by the numerous ethnic foods enjoyed by the people of modern Hawaii.

Pre-luau entertainment is supplied by the "Na Kapu Mele" trio. Following dinner, the "E Pele E" Polynesian revue is hosted by local celebrity Dickie Chan and presented by Kapu Kinimaka-Alquiza's Halau Hula O Kaohikukapulani, winners of numerous awards at the Merrie Monarch Festival, the premier invitation-only Hawaiian hula competition.
