Location and Architecture:
The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui is situated on 22 oceanfront-acres of the South Maui coast, fronting Polo Beach. The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui is a 35-minute (17 mile) drive from the Kahului Airport which is just a 20-minute flight from Honolulu.
Designed by renowned Mexican architect Jose Luis Ezquerra, the Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui is an evolution of a design sense seen in his seaside Las Hadas Golf Resort and Marina in Manzanillo, Mexico with its Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influences.
With it's distinctive while color (in Hawaiian, Kea Lani means "heavenly white") the resort reminds many of a sultan's palace, yet the design also evokes memories of architecture seen in the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and 'Iolani Palace on the island of Oahu.
The resort has 413 one-bedroom suites each offering 840 square feet of living space and private lanais (patios). The resort also has 37 two and three-bedroom oceanfront villas. Each two-bedroom villa is 1800 square feet and the three-bedroom villas are 2200 square feet each.
All suites and villas include an entertainment center with two televisions (one in living room and one in bedroom), AM/FM stereo, DVD, CD, video cassette player; telephone with two lines, speakerphone, and data port; high-speed Internet access, wall safe; spacious lanai with breakfast table for four and chaise lounge; ceiling fans in living room and bedroom(s); double sized sleeper sofa in living room; over-sized marble bathroom with deep soaking tub, walk-in shower, twin pedestal sinks and luxury bath amenities; coffee maker, microwave oven and mini-refrigerator.

Restaurants and Lounges:
The resort's signature restaurant Ko honors the many cultures of Hawaii's plantation era, serving authentic Hawaiian, Chinese, Filipino, Portuguese, Korean, and Japanese menu items with an innovative twist. The restaurant is undergoing an extensive remodel which is scheduled for completion in March 2012. During the remodel, Ko's dinner menu is available at Kea Lani Restaurant nightly.
The Kea Lani Restaurant is the resort's open-air dining area offering a daily l breakfast buffet with plenty of local seasonal fruits as well as à la carte menu service.
Nick's Fishmarket Maui is one of Maui's premier and award-winning seafood restaurants offering the Island's freshest fish, Keahole Maine Lobster, and Maui Cattle Company Steaks in a tropical ambiance. Special features include a 2,000 bottle wine cellar, outdoor seating and a private dining room to accommodate as many as fifty guests.
Caffe Ciao Bakery & Deli is a Italian bakery, gift shop and deli. It showcases specialty coffees, fresh baked pastries, pasta dishes, fresh salads and gourmet cheese. Picnics To Go offers custom filled picnic baskets available for sightseeing trips.
Polo Beach Grille & Bar is the resort's casual poolside restaurant offering burgers and sandwiches, fresh local fish and garden salads. Tropical drinks and fruit smoothies are served all day long at the restaurant's swim-up bar.
The open-air Luana Lounge offers nightly entertainment from local musicians as guests relax and unwind in the private cabana-esque canopy couches while enjoying a selection of appetizers, a signature Kea Lani Cocktail or one of many specialty martinis.
Spa and Fitness Facilities:
Spa Kea Lani, open daily, is one of Maui's top spas offering over 50 unique spa treatments including body therapies such as their Healing Nectar - Noni Body Wrap, 50- and 80-minute facials, and massages including the popular Hawaii Lomi Lomi massage.

The resort also has three swimming pools, including an adults-only pool, and two activity pools connected by a 140-foot waterslide and two whirlpools.
Complimentary shuttle service is available to nearby Wailea Tennis Club, The Shops at Wailea, and one of the largest and most acclaimed golf facilities in Hawaii, the Wailea Golf Club offering three 18-hole championship courses.
