Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is situated on 15 oceanfront-acres of the South Maui coast, fronting Wailea Beach, which has frequently been listed as one of the top beaches in the United States. Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is a 35-minute drive from the Kahului Airport which is just a 20-minute flight from Honolulu.
Arranged in a U-shape with the open end facing the ocean, the resort has 380 guest rooms, including 75 suites. The majority of the resort’s 380 guest rooms and suites – the largest on the island – feature views of the Pacific Ocean that can be enjoyed from the privacy of their furnished lanai (a veranda or roofed patio).
Following the 2007 renovations, rooms welcome guests with all new furnishings reflecting modern luxury and Hawaiian sophistication, carpet, wallpaper and hard and soft goods. All rooms feature over-sized marble bathrooms with a deep soaking tubs and separate glass-enclosed showers. Rooms are accented by the artwork of specially commissioned artisans. A technology upgrade now brings guests access to high-definition flat-screen TVs, iHome clock/radio/DVD/ipod/MP3 players, high speed wireless and a Braun Tassimo coffee/latte/tea/hot chocolate machine. The hotel also upgraded its laundry facility to accommodate its changeover to 100-percent cotton linens.
Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea's guest rooms are well designed and spacious, ranging from 600 square feet to 865 square feet.
The resort's eighth floor (accessible only by private elevator key) is the resort's Club Floor where guests have access to the Club Floor Lounge with amenities that include express check-in and check-out, private concierge, all-day refreshments, computer terminals and high-speed Internet access.
The resort's executive suites, decorated in modern residential style, with themed Hawaiian furnishings and artwork, range in size from 1000-1800 square feet and all include a large living room and dining area with refrigerator.
The 1800-square-foot Lokelani Suite includes a tiled outdoor terrace and a semi-private lawn that make it suitable for private entertaining. The luxurious 5000-square-foot Maile Suite offers floor-to-ceiling windows with a 180-degree oceanfront view of the Pacific Ocean, neighboring islands and the beach.
Restaurants and Lounges:
The open-air, beachfront Ferraro's Bar e Ristorante offers a diverse menu showcasing the fresh seafood and produce of Hawaii and an extensive collection of Italian wines in a casual atmosphere wth lively bar and great entertainment.
Spago offers a menu featuring a fusion of Hawaiian and Californian cuisine, with Pacific Rim flavors. The menu offers Master Chef Wolfgang Puck’s classics, plus many locally inspired dishes, using Hawaii’s premier produce, fish and meats accompanied by a fine international wine programme. A special children’s menu is available nightly.
Featuring an open kitchen and a lovely poolside backdrop, DUO serves a menu of seafood and steak masterpieces including an array of prime cuts of steak, including Japanese Kobe beef.
The open-air Lobby Lounge overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the lush tropical gardens is a great place for cocktails at sunset. Hawaiian entertainment is offered nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Contemporary music is played nightly from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Spa and Fitness Facilities:
Opened in March 1990, the award-winning Spa at Four Seasons Resort Maui has been regularly votes by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler Magazine as one of the "Top 20 Resort Spas in Hawaii." The Spa is set amid tropical gardens and water fountains, with natural light and indoor/outdoor spaces and a color palette inspired by Maui's golden-sand beaches and the Pacific's translucent aqua water and sky. Featuring an array of modern Hawaiian artwork, the spa offers 13 indoor treatment rooms and 3 oceanfront hales. Their signature treatment is their Gemstone Facial Treatment. They continuously introduce new results-oriented wellness services and products.
Furnished with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, the 5,721-square-foot Fitness Centre at Four Seasons Resort Maui includes an aerobics room with hardwood floors hosts a wide range of daily fitness classes, and a canopied area designated for outdoor cardiovascular training. Enhanced with their 2007 renovation, the resort has amassed a fine collection of contemporary Hawaiian fine art, which is on display in the public areas and guest rooms. Sitting at the southern end of the 2,100-foot-long Wailea Beach, ocean activities abound including swimming, snorkeling, SCUBA and other water activities. The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea also has three heated outdoor pools, the large Fountain Pool with a whirlpool at each end and a central fountain; the Upper Waterfall Pool, a free-form lagoon pool featuring a naturalistic waterfall, a small slide and a shallow end for children; and the newest addition, the 4,100-square-foot adult-only infinity-edge designed Serenity Pool which offers elevated panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the island of Lana'i and the West Maui mountain range.
For tennis enthusiasts, Four Seasons Resort Maui offers two sand-filled synthetic grass Omni courts, both lit for night play. Complimentary use of the tennis courts and racquets is available for guests.
One of the largest and most acclaimed golf facilities in Hawaii, Wailea Golf Club offers three 18-hole championship courses. The 18 flexible function spaces encompass breakout rooms, a hospitality suite and outdoor locations overlooking fountains, the gardens or the Pacific Ocean. Facilities can accommodate receptions or banquets for up to 500 people either inside or outside. Private dining room facilities for up to 60 people is also available. All conference facilities are wired to accommodate any currently available technical demands.
