Adjacent to Whalers Village in the Ka'anapali Beach Resort, the Westin Maui Resort & Spa has, what I consider, the island's most attractive resort grounds with lots of Asian influences in the artwork.
The pool areas and water slides are great for families with children. The resort's guest rooms have all been recently redone with the most modern amenities.
The Westin Maui also has two of my favorite restaurants on Maui - 'OnO Bar & Grill with its great tapas dinner menu and Tropica, the resort's signature restaurant with great sunset views and fine oceanfront dining. My only complaint about the resort is that the public areas can tend to be crowded and a bit noisy, especially in inclement weather.
