Maui Luaus - A Guide to the Best Luaus on Maui

No island offers as many luaus as Maui. Presented by some of Hawaii's top entertainment companies, there is sure to be a luau to suit everyone's taste.

Wailele Polynesian Luau
Situated at the resort's Aloha Pavilion, the chefs of The Westin Maui Resort & Spa have created a four course dinner that is presented family style, just like in the olden days. Crafters with interactive arts and culture allow guests to participate and enjoy learning more about the Polynesian way of life. The show itself boasts the most extreme troupe of fire knife dance performance in Maui. The show will also include dances and songs from: Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand and Samoa.

"The Feast at Lele" - A Review
It's much more than a luau. It's a fine dining experience featuring a five course meal from four Polynesian Islands and great entertainment from the folks that bring us the Old Lahaina Luau. Read our review of "The Feast at Lele."

Old Lahaina Luau
Considered by many to be the most authentic Hawaiian luau in the islands, we'll show you what you can expect to do and see at the Old Lahaina Luau.

Drums of the Pacific Lu'au - Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa
The Drums of the Pacific Polynesian Spectacular takes you on a journey through the islands of Polynesia, complete with a traditional imu ceremony and the exotic flavors of native Hawaiian cuisine. They feature authentic dances and music of the old Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand, Tahiti, Tonga, and Rarotonga. As good as the entertainment is, the real star of this luau is the food. It is some of the best I've ever eaten at a luau in Hawaii.

Feast at Lele
The Feast at Lele is more like a fine dinner show than a traditional luau. Each table has a tablecloth, china with silverware and cloth napkins. Guests receive very personal attention from at least two servers. The "Feast" itself is the real star here. The menu consists of a five-course meal featuring cuisine from Hawaii, Tonga, Tahiti, and Samoa, plus dessert. Each course is followed by dramatic Polynesian entertainment from each island. Read our review.

Old Lahaina Luau
The Old Lahaina Luau is offered nightly at their own private luau grounds behind the Cannery Mall in Lahaina, West Maui. The Old Lahaina Luau takes great pride in presenting an authentic Hawaiian luau - an evening of traditional Hawaiian cuisine, music, cultural dances and island crafts. Guests will appreciate a genuine reflection of Hawaii’s rich history, while enjoying an ocean view and sunset. Read our feature on the Old Lahaina Luau.

Polynesian Village Luau - Aston Maui Lu Resort
The Polynesian Village Luau is run by the two professional personalities of So’o Tufaga and Palota Taamu. It is a first for Maui to have the actual owners of the production perform live nightly. This is the most family oriented luau on Maui with numerous cultural demonstrations, interactive dance & play, buffet dinner and a ten act show. This is a non-alcoholic event but guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages.

Sunset Luau at Black Rock - Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa
Situated beachfront on award-winning Kaanapali Beach the Kaanapali Sunset Luau shares the music, dance and history of the islands at the foot of the famous cliff diving point, Black Rock. World renowned Polynesian entertainment producer Tihati Productions presents the Tihati Polynesia Revue to compliment the luau festivities and all-you-can-eat luau buffet. Enjoy Hawaiian arts and crafts and experience an authentic Hawaiian Imu Ceremony and Pareo Fashion Show.

Te Au Moana "The Ocean Tide" - Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa
A constant among the vast generations of Hawaiians and Polynesians is the ocean tide. The tide linking all of Oceania, Te Au Moana ("The Ocean Tide"); shares the ancestral storytelling of the people of Maui and the Pacific through lavish songs and dances presented in three acts. The luau also includes a Hawaiian luau buffet, tropical cocktails, a variety of interactive activities.

The Grand Luau at Honua'ula - Grand Wailea Resort
Honua'ula takes guests back to a time when the mighty seafaring Polynesians discovered Hawaii, thereafter calling themselves Hawaiian. It touches upon the documented voyages of La'amaikahiki and Moikeha who first came to this sacred island we call Maui, specifically this area named Honua'ula. It speaks of gods and goddesses that watched over these courageous people and how they were able to co-exist and live in harmony.

The Myths of Maui - Royal Lahaina Resort Luau
Every night, in the oceanfront Luau Gardens, the Royal Lahaina Resort presents an unforgettable cultural celebration of the dances, music and traditions of the Hawaiian and Polynesian people in the oceanfront Luau Gardens. Enjoy a breathtaking celebration of traditional Hawaiian, Tahitian and Samoan dance and music as the performers weave the legends of the South Pacific into spellbinding performances.
