Throughout the years the astronauts who have circled the globe first in the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs, then in Skylab and now in the Space Shuttle have taken amazing photos of the earth below them.
In this feature we present some of their amazing photos of the Hawaiian Islands. These photos are presented courtesy of NASA. NASA does not assert copyright in its imagery, and therefore, permission to reproduce is not required. However, NASA photographs and other imagery used does not imply an endorsement by the Agency or any of its employees of any commercial product or process, including this site.
We hope that you enjoy our gallery of photos of Hawaii as seen from the eyes of the astronauts of NASA. The associated commentary on each photo is also provided by NASA.
