• Royal Hawaiian Center is celebrating the completion of its $115 million revitalization, the first major renovation to the center since it opened in 1979. The four-level center has been expanded to 310,000 square feet and hosts 110 shops, ten anchor restaurants and Waikiki's newest entertainment venue. The new center has attracted the largest concentration of flagship stores in Waikiki including 7 of All Mankind, bebe, Bulgari, Cartier, FENDI, Ferrari, Hermes, Juicy Couture, kate spade, Marciano, LeSportsac, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Tourneau. The center also offers free ongoing cultural programs in order to share Hawaii's rich culture with visitors from around the world.
  
  
• Following the grand opening of its major retail expansion, Ala Moana Center welcomes new retail and dining tenants in locations throughout the mall. This month, two national retailers – affordable, trend-setting women's fashion store, Forever 21, and high-end shoe retailer Stuart Weitzman – are scheduled to open. Ala Moana Center will be Stuart Weitzman's first Hawaii location.
  
  
• Oahu residents and master shapers Jeff Bushman and Kyle Bernhardt recently created Country Feeling Surfboards, a line of surfboards made with environmentally friendly materials. Available in an array of shapes, colors and sizes, Country Feeling Surfboards are made with soy and sugar-based foams, resin activated by the sun, as well as hemp, silk and bamboo.
