Honolulu City Lights
A Gallery of Photos of Honolulu's Annual Christmas Celebration

By , About.com Guide

Celebrating its 25th year in 2009, "Honolulu City Lights" is the focal point for O'ahu's Christmas celebration. Honolulu Hale (City Hall) and the Civic Center Grounds come alive with a 50-foot Christmas tree, wreath exhibits, giant Yuletide displays and live entertainment.

The popular "Ku'u Home" plantation house in the Honolulu Hale Courtyard serves as "Santa's House" when he's in residence listening to wishes of island children. New this year is a 40-foot train carrying two menehune that wraps around the Christmas tree.

We hope you enjoy these photos taken at the 20th annual "Honolulu City Lights" in 2004. We've also included a number of photos showing some of the Christmas displays at several Waikiki hotels.
