In Search of More Filming Locations for ABC's Lost

By John Fischer, About.com

We conclude Part 2 of our feature with another scene from Lost Season 2, Episode 5: ...And Found.

Concerned that their daughter did not find a husband at Seoul National University and that she now is "silver" instead of "gold", Sun's parents have arranged through a matchmaker for her to meet the Harvard educated son of the owner of thirteen hotels including the Seoul Gateway Hotel. Sun-Soo Kwon, as portrayed by Korean actress Yunjin Kim, is not keen on arranged relationships, but she soon finds that she has an easy rapport and is growing fond of Jae Lee as portrayed by actor Tony Lee.

On a subsequent lunch date, however, Jae confides in Sun that he while at Harvard he met an American woman and he intends to move there in six months and marry her. Distraught, Sun leaves the hotel dining room and goes for a walk along the canal. This is where Sun and Jin first meet face to face and speak to each other.

Their meeting actually takes place along the Ala Wai Canal near the recently rebuilt Kalakaua Avenue Bridge into Waikiki. This is right near the Honolulu Convention Center. You can clearly view the bridge in the screenshot of this scene.

Users Respond: Which Lost Filming Location Would You Like to Learn More About?

Aloha, Yaban: I hope that you're enjoying your time on Oahu. Your question is similar to one I get very often. Unfortunately the producers of Lost do not announce where they will be filming. Generally folks wake up in the morning and discover them setting up to shoot at a specific location. Word of mouth then spreads across the island through the Coconut Wireless, i.e. word of mouth or on the Internet. Security is very tight when they're filming and while visitors have been lucky to get photos with some of the actors, there's no way to predict when it will happen. Some of the actors are more friendly to fans than others who hardly ever pose for photos. I wish I could give you more help, but it's a real hit or miss proposition and more than often a miss.

My daughter would like me to take a picture with Jack and Kate and bring it back to Istanbul when I go back. I am a visitor here on Oahu and will be going back on November 22.
