- Epic Restaurant will be opening soon in the old Havana Cabana location at Nuuanu and Pauahi. Anthony Vierra, the chef and owner of Grand Cafe & Bakery, and the Changs, owners of Little Village, have partnered together to open this unique grill, which features a very diverse menu. Fixed-price pre-theater menus will be available for crowds to enjoy before heading into the adjacent Hawaii Theatre.
- Honolulu International Airport (HNL) will soon have more dining choices including: Quizno's Subs; Cold Stone Creamery; Tequileria, featuring fresh Mexican food and premium drinks; Island Brews, specializing in local microbrews; Dewar's Clubhouse, a full-service restaurant that evokes a clubhouse atmosphere, with hearty meals and a full bar; Lahaina Chicken Company, serves up comfort food - chicken, roast beef, side orders and such; Wolfgang Puck Grab & Go, offering up some of the best fast food on the planet; and Gordon Biersch Restaurant and Brewery, featuring handcrafted beer and food made from scratch.
- MAC 24/7 has opened in the Prince Kuhio Hotel in Waikiki. The restaurant's name is a coded clue to what it's all about. MAC stands for Modern American Cooking, and 24-7 is in reference to its operating hours and full menu availability. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served all day long.
- Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center is home to some of the hottest new restaurants in Waikiki with the addition of Señor Frog's out of Cancun, Mexico, and the second largest P.F. Chang's China Bistro in the United States, both located on the corner of Kalakaua and Lewers.
The third floor will also be home to exciting restaurants new to the Hawaii market like Sushi Doraku and Wolfgang's Steakhouse, due to open in mid-2007. The Paina Lanai, a breezy open-air lanai, overlooking The Royal Grove, will be home to nine delectable casual eateries including Ruby's Diner, Kenny's Hawaiian Express, Ezogiku, Maui Tacos and more, for everyone to enjoy.
- Ruth's Chris Steak House is projected to open its Waikiki Beach Walk location in March 2007. The new site is sure to be one of the most spectacular dining locations in the islands, offering prime steaks, fresh Island seafood, live Maine lobster and all the signature dishes inspired by New Orleans' Creole and Cajun traditions that have made Ruth's Chris popular around the world. The décor accentuates Hawaiian artwork and woods, creating an atmosphere of elegance and all the excellent cuisine that wins the establishment dining awards wherever it operates.
