The scope of the resort enhancement included:
- Guest rooms - new carpeting and bedding in each of the 387 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites; new upholstery
- on headboards, sofas and chairs; and new artwork.
- Main open-air lobby - new carpeting, tables, chairs and upholstery; and an inviting coffee bar with hot and cold beverages and freshly baked goods.
- Hallways - new carpeting in corridors.
- Ihilani Spa - new carpeting throughout the women and men's areas; furniture upgrades in the relaxation lounges; and a fresh appearance in the spa's lobby with new carpeting, a new layout and a larger retail area.
In addition, the hotel's business center has moved from its original location in the Executive Offices on the fourth floor to the hotel's lower lobby near the sundries shop. Guests now have 24-hour access to the center with their room keys, and work stations are operable with payment by cash or credit card. Each work station is equipped with e-mail, word processing and photocopying capabilities.
More excitement is to come at the 35,000-square-foot Ihilani Spa with plans to refurbish treatment rooms with fresh wallpaper, new flooring and new massage tables. More treatment rooms will be added to the existing 19 rooms, along with a new couple's room. The beauty salon, offering hair styling and manicure and pedicure services will be expanded when it is relocated from the ground floor to the sixth floor of the Ihilani Spa.
