- Aqua Hotels & Resorts recently announced that renovations spending at its Waikiki properties will top $32 million this year with work done by many local contractors and companies. Renovations include upgrading and refurbishing the Aqua Aloha Surf, Aqua Palms & Spa, Aqua Continental, Aqua Coral Reef, and Ocean Tower Hotel at Waikiki Beach.
- The Halekulani hotel is set to unveil its "Halekulani Living" Series. - Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa recently opened its Ocean Crystal Chapel. - Outrigger Reef on the Beach has introduced Na Alii ("Hawaiis Royalty"), a new, free activity for hotel guests in which master Hawaiian storyteller Woody Fern leads participants on a two-hour walking tour of Waikiki, sharing stories and information about the areas history and cultural points of interests.
