Everything is designed to make a trip to Oahu unforgettable.- With resurfacing work on the balconies done, the 202-room Aqua Aloha Surf has completed nearly $10 million in renovations and upgrades. The hotel became an Aqua property in 2005.
Enhancements include designer interior finishes such as custom furniture with granite tops and amenities like flat-screen LCD televisions, free high-speed Internet access and AquaKIT (microwave, mini-refrigerator and coffeemaker).
The large, open-air lobby has been refreshed with paint, along with new carpet, furniture and artwork.
- The yearlong Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon Restoration Project to restore the picturesque pond fronting the Hilton Hawaiian Village continues to progress and is on track for a September 2007 completion.
The lagoon, owned by the state, is named after Hawaii's famed waterman and father of modern surfing. When completed, the lagoon will feature a new water circulation system, a boardwalk and landscaping featuring native Hawaiian trees and plants.
- Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa will be extending its award-winning food and beverage operations to a location fronting the property on Waikiki Beach with the opening of "Hyatt on the Beach."
The concession, adjacent to the Honolulu Police Waikiki substation, will offer beach-goers a variety of quick but delicious choices including plate lunches, daily lunch specials, sandwiches, breakfast, snacks, side dishes, shave ice, and beverages, including Starbucks coffee and fountain drinks.
Menu prices have been tailored for the budget-conscious, yet flavor will hold to the same excelling standard that Hyatt has set with its award-winning restaurants in Ciao Mein, Musashi and The Colony.
- Effective June 1, 2007, Castle Resorts & Hotels began managing the sales and marketing for the Ocean Resort Hotel Waikiki, including contracting, direct sales, online and traditional marketing, and reservations.
The 450-room Ocean Resort Hotel Waikiki is 100% smoke-free and located in the heart of Waikiki, just one block from Waikiki Beach. Amenities include two swimming pools, a restaurant, lounge, and shops.
- The contemporary, chic, boutique-style Outrigger Regency on Beachwalk property is the newest addition to Outrigger's Condominium Collection on the island of Oahu.
Each of the 48 luxurious one and two-bedroom units features a spacious lanai, hardwood flooring, floor to ceiling windows, LCD television, complimentary high-speed Internet access, and beautifully appointed kitchen and baths.
- The Moana Surfrider on famous Waikiki Beach officially transformed into Oahu's first Westin resort in early June.
The landmark Victorian property, now renamed as Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort, has undergone a complete transformation. While maintaining its elegant ambiance and Hawaiian sense of place, the historic hotel has been renewed with modern amenities including the Westin's signature Heavenly Bed? and Heavenly Bath?, as well as new flat screen televisions.
A new spa will feature 14 treatment rooms, including two couple's massage rooms and a 1,400 square foot Westin WORKOUT® Powered by Reebok fitness facility when completed in 2008.
- Outrigger Enterprises Group is managing The Wyland Waikiki, a newly transformed hotel inspired by the magnificence of the sea and the creative vision of renowned marine artist Wyland.
The property features ocean-hued color schemes accented by Wyland paintings, photographs and sculptures throughout the grounds, lobby, hallways and guest rooms.
All guest rooms and suites offer comfortable beds with designer wood furnishings, high definition flat screen plasma televisions, a complimentary in-room safe, refrigerator, coffeemaker and furnished balcony. KiMOBEAN Hawaiian Coffee and the lobby Wy-Bar have opened, and a signature restaurant, day spa and fitness center are slated to open over the next few months.
