- The second phase of the extensive $100 million makeover of Outrigger Reef on the Beach is scheduled to be completed this fall. In the coming months, the hotel will introduce new shops and boutiques, VIP pool services, a spacious new lobby with extraordinary cultural treasures, and more.
Rooms in the hotel's new Ocean Tower, which was unveiled in May, are now open for guests to book. The guestrooms include stunning marine photography, bath amenities custom-made in Hawaii, full-sized bathtubs (whirlpool bathtubs in one-bedroom oceanfront suites), 32" flat-screen televisions, vanities, and the Outrigger Connection - free high-speed Internet access and free long-distance telephone calls to the neighbor islands, U.S. Mainland and Canada.
New options include a four-bedroom oceanfront suite and an upgrade to the equipment in the hotel's fitness center.
- Plans are in progress to close The Royal Hawaiian on June 1, 2008 and reopen in late 2008 as one of the world's elite collection of hotels for luxury and romance. Spa suites, a 'Tower within the Tower' hotel concept and other 'Only at The Royal' amenities are planned to help redefine The Royal Hawaiian as the premier luxury hotel in Hawaii.
The restored hotel will highlight O'ahu's culture and history with new guest programs, refined service and an elevated ambiance. Private pool cabanas, Hawaiian cultural programs, and historical and tropical garden tours are just a few of the features the hotel already provides its guests.
- Spa Pure, a new full-service day spa is slated to open in November 2007 at The Wyland Waikiki. Guests will be able to enjoy an in-room or poolside massage, ranging from a soothing deep relaxation massage or vigorous and therapeutic lomilomi massage, to shiatsu, four-hands, and foot massages. Spa Pure will also be the first and only in Hawaii to have Ganban Yoku stone treatment tables. Ganban Yoku, a special treatment famous in Japan, involves lying on stone tables that generate a low infrared heat to cleanse and detoxify the body.
- Tailored to expecting parents, the W Honolulu Diamond Head's "Baby Me" Package includes an adorable cotton Whoops Baby Onesie outfit; two items from the hotel's Womb Service Menu; a copy of the Modern Girls Guide to Motherhood book; a one year subscription to Cookie magazine; a chic Skip and Hop "Duo" diaper bag; a six-month membership and gifts to modernmom.com (valued at $75); and Bliss Foot Patrol, an AHA exfoliating and softening cream with aloe leaf and peppermint. The "Baby Me" Package is available now until April 30, 2008.
- Paul Brown's Spa Olakino Salon, located at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, is now offering the UMO 24 karat gold leaf facial. - The Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa is offering a special "Pearl Harbor" Waikiki Vacation Package, which provides guests the opportunity to visit some of Hawaii's historic sites.
