- Disney announced the name of its upcoming West Oahu resort currently under construction – Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, Ko Olina, Hawaii. The 21-acre resort set on the Waianae Coast will consist of 360 guestrooms, 481 Disney Vacation Club Villas, pools, hot tubs, a snorkeling lagoon, a river, meeting rooms, wedding facilities, an 18,000 square foot spa, and two restaurants. The first phase of the resort is scheduled to open in Fall 2011.
- Hilton has announced that two new timeshare towers are scheduled to be built at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. In 2013, construction will start on the first tower that will be 37 stories and include 300 units. The first tower is expected to be completed in 2015. Construction of the second tower, a 250-unit building, is projected to begin about five years after the first tower opens. New swimming pools and a two-story retail complex, as well as additional parking spaces, are also part of the construction plan.
- Na Hoola Spa at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa recently introduced The Ultimate Retail Therapy, a special spa treatment created specifically for shoppers. The treatment includes a massage that uses heating blankets and stretching techniques to concentrate on the muscles used most when shopping.
- The Outrigger Reef on the Beach has partnered with the Friends of Hokulea and Hawaiiloa, Mission Houses Museum and Bishop Museum to pay tribute to the traditions of Hawaiian canoe building and today's preservation efforts with the opening of a new museum-quality display. Located in a dedicated space near the hotel's front desk, the Canoe Hale exhibit includes wall displays, a DVD on canoe building techniques, the 22-foot-long steering paddle from the double hulled voyaging canoe Hawaiiloa, a miniature model of Hawaiiloa courtesy of Bishop Museum, and Kaiolahia – a full size racing canoe circa 1915, as well as a number of artifacts on display.
- Sheraton Waikiki recently completed a $187 million transformation featuring new facilities and resort amenities. The comprehensive renovation included upgrades to guestrooms and suites, international conference center meeting facilities, redesigned public areas with new landscaping, two new pools, new food and beverage outlets, and new back-of-house equipment to enhance service efficiency.
- SpaHalekulani recently unveiled Pure Renewal at SpaHalekulani, a three and a half hour detoxification experience using treatments from the healing cultures of Asia, Hawaii and the South Pacific. The experience includes the spa's signature Foot Pounding, Cinnamon Orange Tea tea service, Foot Reflexology session, Full Body Massage, Farm Fresh Lunch, Full Body Skin Brushing, Espresso Limon Body Wrap, and Detox Therapy Foot Soak.
- Wimco Villas is now offering luxury private villa rentals on Oahu. The villas are located in Diamond Head, Kahala, Kailua, Laie, and on the North Shore.
