Rebuilding Of The Outrigger Reef On The Beach

The Outrigger Reef on the Beach is currently undergoing a major transformation and travelers to Hawaii can experience the first fruits of the Outrigger Reef’s extensive $100 million makeover when the hotel unveils its premium Ocean Tower guestrooms this May.

The new Ocean Tower encompasses 200 smoke-free guest rooms including five superbly appointed one-bedroom oceanfront suites offering up to 800 square feet of stretching space. All rooms will feature stunning undersea photography, full-sized bathtubs (whirlpool bathtubs in one-bedroom oceanfront suites), spacious new vanity with lighted cosmetic mirror, and an array of complimentary amenities and services, including free high-speed Internet access and long-distance telephone calls to the neighbor islands, U.S. Mainland and Canada.

For an even more luxurious experience, suites can be connected with oceanfront rooms to create two-bedroom/three-bath or even three-bedroom/four-bath units over 1,500 square feet in size.

Guests can enjoy a free night when they book a stay of four or more nights at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach, with an added value bonus: rates are based on Outrigger’s "Best Value" prices and not the highest published rates. Depending upon date of stay, Stay 4 Pay 3 prices begin at $205 per night.

Outrigger Waikiki News

Outrigger Waikiki Defines "Room And Board" in a New Way

Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach has introduced a new "Room and Board" package specially designed for the "wanna-learn-to-surf" set, thanks to a lifelong love of the waves by another Waikiki beach boy of sorts: Dr. Chuck Kelley, whose family founded Outrigger Hotels & Resorts in Waikiki in 1947.

"I have been surfing my whole life, ever since my father taught me as a little kid," Kelley said. "I grew up surfing in Waikiki, and in the hotel business. We have great surfboard racks at the Outrigger Waikiki and I love sharing the hotel, surfboards, racks and my favorite surf spot -- Waikiki Beach -- with our guests."

In addition to four nights accommodations, guests will receive four hours of surf lessons, eight hours of board rental, and a complimentary CD of digital images taken during one of the lessons -- all starting from $1,070 and valid through December 21, 2007.

For more information, call 1-800-OUTRIGGER (688-7444) or visit www.outriggerreef.com.
