Le Taha'a Island Resort & Spa, a romantic Relais & Chateaux member property, opened in 2002 and is located on a private motu near the "vanilla island" of Taha'a. The resort has 50 overwater suites, plus 40 garden and beach villas.
The best of the overwaters, called Sunset Suites and popular with honeymooners and celebrities, measure 969 square feet and offer sweeping views of the western horizon with the silhouette of Bora Bora in the distance.
