Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Waikiki (Sheraton Waikiki, The Royal Hawaiian, Sheraton Moana Surfrider and Sheraton Princess Kaiulani) announces two exciting events in conjunction with 2004 Aloha Festivals. The 10th Annual Aloha Festival Frank B. Shaner Hawaiian Falsetto Contest will be held in the Sheraton Waikiki's Hawaii Ballroom on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 7 p.m. This popular competition for amateur male performers celebrates the time honored tradition of falsetto singing dating back to a time when Hawaiian women were forbidden to sing in public, leaving men to sing the high-pitched notes. Get up close to Hawaii's alii (chiefs) at a new Aloha Festival event called, "Visit Alii of Yesteryear." This culturally rich afternoon opens at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider's Banyan Veranda on Friday, September 17, from 3 - 5 p.m. Share High Tea with past year's Royal Court king, queen, prince and princess in a personal question and answer cultural exchange, photos will be allowed. Salute To Moana Memories

A Salute to Moana Memories at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider includes two complimentary fun-filled weekend programs. Each Friday evening the "First Lady of Waikiki" invites visitors to Komo Mai to the Courtyard (come to the courtyard) at 7:30 p.m. in a special cultural salute featuring a six-man color guard, precision rifle team, steel guitar melodies and a dramatic fire knife performance. Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. the popular Promise Me Again program invites couples to renew their wedding vows. Under the hotel's historic banyan tree tell your special someone. "I Do" once again and exchange a fresh flower lei. At the close of the program couples dance to the "Hawaiian Wedding Song."

Wild About Whales

Sheraton Maui Resort invites whale watchers to experience a whale of a perfect getaway with their Wild About Whales package. Deluxe ocean front accommodations, Hawaiian lei greeting, a two-hour whale watching cruise aboard the Teralani Catamaran and much more. Culinary Adventures On The Big Island

The Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa announces the appointment of Ben Takahashi as the resort's Executive Chef. Takahashi's multi-level career includes many of Hawaii's exclusive private county clubs, the Halekulani, Four Season's Resort on Maui, and recently the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows on Hawaii's Big Island.
