As dawn breaks at Lopevi, the men are working on constructing a shelter. Lea wonders where Rory has disappeared. Rory is off collecting fruit. Lea notes that he is not a team player and confronts Rory about this. Rory does not appreciate being given orders by Lea "Sarge". "I'm a grown-ass man and I don't take orders well." John P. hopes that this bodes well for his future since the rest of tribe appears to be targeting Rory.
At Yasur the young girls are relaxing and wondering why people are complaining that they are not doing enough work. Nearly Twila overhears their conversation and gets into a big argument with Mia. Mia didn't like the way Twila called the young girls out at Tribal Council. Her plan is to call Twila out whenever possible and get her out of the game. Twila notes that she's not here to make friends.
As they go to collect Tree Mail, Eliza and Julie discuss Eliza's vote against Dolly. Mia and Lisa meet them and Mia suggests that they target Twila.
Tree mail tells them that they will be facing another immunity challenge that day, much sooner than they had expected.
As the tribes gather for their next Reward/Immunity Challenge the men are surprised that Dolly, "Barbie" has been kicked off. Jeff advises the tribes that both tribes will be gathering for Tribal Council that night and each tribe will vote someone off. The tribes are shocked by the news.
The challenge is a two-part event. In the first part, the Yasur and Lopevi tribes will compete against each other. The winning tribe will win reward and get to compete in the second part where one member will win individual immunity.
The Reward Challenge involves an obstacle course in which the tribes must make their way through three locked cages by untying planks, using grappling hooks to retrieve keys and mastering a series of interlocking slide rails. The first tribe to crawl through the three cages to safety would win a reward of fishing gear as well as a chance for Individual Immunity.
After a close start, the men make their way through the course and win the Reward Challenge and the opportunity to compete for individual immunity.
In the Immunity Challenge the men of Lopevi must dig up rungs of a ladder from the sand and use all of the pieces to complete a ladder. The first man to complete his ladder wins individual immunity. John K. and Chad both gather their pieces first, but Chad has difficulty in assembling his ladder and John K. wins immunity.
Before the tribes depart, Jeff advises John K. that he will join Yasur for the rest of the day in order to gather information and decide which member of Yasur he will give his immunity to for their Tribal Council.
As John K. returns to camp with Yasur, in one of this season's most intelligent moves, he decides to gather together those who votes to evict Dolly and those who did not. Eliza finds herself sitting with the older tribe members and is worried that she is perceived to have joined their alliance. Eliza keeps talking to John, and talking. "Oh my God, will you please stop talking." The girls tell him not to give immunity to Eliza or Twila. John really doesn't care about anything except not making anyone angry with him as he looks forward to a future merge.
The younger girls are divided over which older member to target Scott or Twila. Eliza continues to defend her vote against Dolly. The young girls appear to settle on voting against Twila.
The men celebrate their victory in the Reward Challenge. John P. worries about his future and comments that he is a "dead man, walking." The young men led by Brady try to get Sarge to join their side and vote against Rory. Sarge and Chad discuss this possibility and seem to agree that as much as they worry about Rory now is not the time to vote him out. In a sign of Sarge's position as leader of Lopevi, Sarge notes, "I hate Tribal Council. I hate building a team of men or Survivors building them up to a fine tuned team and then tearing them down. That's not me, but I'm playing this game and during this game I have to do that."
The men are the first to gather for Tribal Council and in a vote of 5-3 John P. is voted out of the game as the older men stick together. John K. remains behind for the Yasur Tribal Council and decides to give immunity to Ami, who he feels was safe anyway. He does not wish to interfere in the tribes dynamic.
Yasur casts their votes and in another surprise, by a 5-3 vote Mia is voted out. This time it is Lisa who has sided with the older members to vote against Mia, apparently disturbed by her confrontation with Twila. The younger members of Yasur now find their numbers down to just three as they have betrayed each other in the last to Tribal Councils.
