There are six main Hawaiian Islands that welcome visitors from around the world. They are Hawaii Island (the Big Island), Kauai, Lanai, Maui, Molokai and Oahu. Each has something to offer that is quite distinct from the other.
I always recommend that first time visitors experience at least two, if not three, of the main islands. Return visitors invariably have their favorite island which they visit over and over again.
In addition, Hawaii residents have their own choice for favorite island. It may be the island they live on or it may be a totally different island.
From now until February 15, 2012, we're accepting nominations for your favorite Hawaiian island. On February 22, 2012, the finalists will be announced and the voting will begin for the winner, which will be announced on March 30, 2012.
With that in mind, whether you're a visitor to Hawaii or a resident of Hawaii, we'd like to know your choice for favorite Hawaiian island.
