From the article: Nude Beaches in Hawaii
Nude beaches are technically illegal in Hawaii, but that certainly doesn't mean that they don't exist. There are plenty of them.

Some of them require some effort to get to. You may have to climb over a steep hill or cling to a narrow path along an ocean bluff. When you get there though, you're likely to find plenty of others just like you.

Other nude beaches on Hawaii are much more private. On most days you'll probably have the whole beach to yourself.

Nude Beach Guide

My book "American Nudist: The Lost Journal" contains updated nude beach information for Hawaii. Check it out where books are sold.

Be careful where you lay out naked!

Hi there, just a heads up that the Polo Beach is under surveillance by the police because of numerous sexual and lewd acts. It's unfortunate that some people have to ruin it for everyone. Be careful when you go because you could have some sicko watching you and doing something nasty in the bushes...or worse. I have seen this myself and advise people to go somewhere else on the island.

My favorite nude beach in Hawaii

Little Beach! What a great place to sun all-natural! Nice people and the scenery is fabulous.

Just went to "Red Sand Beach in Hana (Kaihalulu Beach)" and everyone was clothed. It was also extremely difficult to get to -- parts of the trail have caved in. I'd recommend Little Beach.

North Shore Naturists

If you're looking for a place to sun bathe nude on Oahu then look no further than North Shore Naturists (http://nsnhawaii.com/.) Its not on the beach but it's on private property with fellow nudists and you can get a great tan or go swimming in the buff.

Where I go, nude beaches follow

I don't like clothes. I don't like rules, either. I just go to Diamond Head and go topless. I met Tahitiennes there after doing this for awhile and realized that I and some others had created & maintained a mellow place to get an all over tan. It's really not about exposing oneself, it's about not having icky clothes on and all those tan lines and white places that shine like beacons when the lights go down... My skin is all brown now and my tan lines are never a feature...the bikinis are still pretty small and somehow the light gets through... I go to other beaches now...DH is just too close to the city these days...the place is overrun with bums...I think the whole homeless mentality, the giving up, the curious people who somehow made it seem worthy to be a loser bum...ugh...what a mess the town of Honolulu has become...

Little Beach

without question! It's popular and easy to get to, and swimming is not really a problem. Even a few fish if you look for them. Red Sand is pretty cool too, but it's harder to get to and rather out of the way.

other nude beach on hawaii island

There is another nude beach on Hawaii island. Known locally as 67. It is part of Wailea beach park. Directions are: turn off Hwy 19 at Puako, make first right turn and go down road until you find the power pole numbered 67. Turn onto this dirt road and follow to end, some parking. Follow trail down to beach. Beach park closes at sunset.

Snorkeling at Secret Beach?

I'd be very careful about snorkeling at secret beach. Even in the summer there are strong currents there. It's not really a good swimming beach, but good for walking and meditation.

North Shore Oahu

Been a couple years but wife and I spent many days at a wonderful beach adjacent to Dillingham Field. Getting past the lava rock outcroppings at water's edge and this way the most serene beaches which to enjoying nude sunbathing. Only saw 3-4 couples either sunbathing nude or casually strolling nude up the beach. Very pleasant and sure would like to see more openly legal nude beaches in Hawaii...isn't that the way one should enjoy the Hawaiian beaches.

Oahu

While it's no "Little Beach", Oahu does have an unofficial nude beach. It's informally called "Polo Beach" and it's located on the North Shore, on the road to Dillingham Air Field. Just before you get to the Air Field on the right side of the road and immediately before you get to the Polo Grounds on the left side of the road, you'll see some cars parked on each side, with a small opening in the fence for the Public Access to the Beach. Walk down the path to the ocean (it's beautiful)... Most "naturists" take a right. Someone's generally laying out nude, but if not, just ask if it's ok. Most people are waiting for someone to go first. It's great snorkeling also, but please be mindful of the currents and the sharp coral and volcanic rocks.

Nude beaches on Oahu

Here are just a few photos that we took of "Finding" a real cool spot to go "hang out" It's along the Waianae Coast called Kaneana Cave area. We think it might be called Makua Beach. Here is just a little information for your readers. First as your going north on Farrington Hwy, It wil turn from two (2) Lanes into just one lane. Then you'll go past normal housing and even some high rise apartments on your left side, Then once past the housing area will come the "homeless" area which goes for several miles, You'll see a "Big" ruff but part paved parking lot on the left side of hwy. The big cave will be across the Hwy, Park closest to the concrete barrier which has "RED" paint on it! Through there is a path which can barely be seen, (USE FOOTWEAR!) slippers will do! Follow it down the hill, turn left and stay on path where there is an old rusted car! The path will take you along a fence about 100 yards, you'll see the path go down steep to the beach area. Although we have been there only twice

My favorite nude beach in Hawaii

My favorite nude beach in Hawaii is Little Beach. The only thing I hate about Hawaii is that it doesn't have more of them.
